Very cool concept, and really impressive amount of polish. I would love to see this idea get developed further. Visuals and gameplay are pretty good. 

*Note: take my criticism with a side of salt, I only played about 10 minutes of the game, before getting softlocked, so my points may be invalid for later portions of the game. I will come back to this in the future and update this review if necessary*

Points of criticism: 

--> Maybe I haven't gotten far enough but I'm not sure what the theme connection was?


--> Enemy pieces appear to only move when they can take one of your pieces. Maybe it gets more difficult later on but many levels are very easy to beat by choosing a piece that can attack enemies without getting inside their line of attack and slowly whittle them down, at the cost of the par bonus


--> I found a softlock while playing, conditions are placing a piece that can't move due to board state, hitting fight, and having no money to reset. If there was a way to get out of this softlock I could not find it.


Overall rating 4/5 stars-Theme was weak imo which is an important part of it for me, and there were some issues I had with it, but the neat concept, gameplay, and visuals really impressed me, especially considering the time limit. Would love to see it expanded on

Bought your pack yesterday and I'm loving it! One issue I've had is with building houses. Compared to the rest of the pack, the houses tile maps felt pretty unorganized and was difficult to find all the proper pieces. It also was pretty unintuitive to figure out what pieces were meant for what (though that might be a skill issue for me :p). Eventually I got it, but it took a lot of layer manipulation (I went from 3 layers to 6) and I wasn't expecting it so the learning curve was a bit steeper. There's probably an easier way, but that's how I figured it out. Maybe some more examples / instructional images? There were some and they were the only way I figured out what I was doing.

Besides not being able to support my ineptitude, its great, and I love the art style!

I also managed to forget about the mode switching haha. I was able to make it to round 18 until the frame rate got too bad to continue (I had not killed any enemies since like round 10 :p)

Ima be honest, half of your review is just bitching about the game being too hard, then the other half is you saying that you were malding so bad that your dad won't let you walk your dog??? The game isn't that hard, I've never playing ultrakill or related games, and I'm not a "master" by any means and I was more then able to play this game. The game is fairly generous with health pickups and I was able to reach close to the end in one life. You can't blame the devs if your just bad at the game and raged 

Very fun game. One problem is sometimes moving becomes a bit difficult, I think maybe the orange bricks get in the way of you moving or something. other than that game was great!
